I may have cheated a little with this summer garden pasta recipe. Im thinking you’re supposed to use fresh ingredients from your garden…hence the word “garden”.
The only ingredients I have available at the moment from my garden is basil. My tomatoes aren’t ready to harvest yet, so I had to buy some at the store…and some garlic. Oops. It’s ok. It still tasted AMAZING!
This clever olive oil sauce mixture of a few ingredients makes the most insanely, delicious flavors! Obviously, because we are using a couple of the most potent flavored ingredients (garlic and basil). Letting these guys all sit together and hangout is key.
When I made this recipe, there were plenty left overs. My husband took some to work for dinner, and I asked him to let me know what he thought of it. He said “Absolutely delicious. If I closed my eyes while eating it, I would have thought I was dining in the North End. Compliments to the chef!”.
So, naturally…I had to try a bite to see for myself. He was absolutely right. Every bite was so flavorful, and not too overpowering.
This recipe was so so easy. I love finding recipes that are super flavorful and delicious, but aren’t too much work. Sharing them with you make me so happy because who doesn’t like a delicious and flavorful meal that isn’t hard to make?
Ive been seeing this recipe float around alot on Pinterest lately, so I finally decided to look into it. It’s actually a Barefoot Contessa recipe. So go figure, of course it’s amazing!
