Crockpot chicken stuffing and green beans is an easy dinner recipe to make if you are craving that delicious thanksgiving food!
One of my favorite holidays is Thanksgiving. Being in good health, and with family is the best part of the day to celebrate. But the food is obviously the second best part! And it only comes once a year. So this recipe is PERFECT for those random days throughout the year where you crave thanksgiving food.
I know, I know…you’re probably thinking “you eat turkey on thanksgiving”. But honestly, I’ve made turkey in the crockpot before and it turns out super dry. Ive always liked chicken more than turkey anyways. But you can use turkey breast instead if you prefer that.
You are going to start by placing your chicken in the bottom of your crockpot. Make sure to spray non stick cooking spray generously, all over the bottom and sides. Mine started to stick to the sides and burn a little. So, that is an important step you don’t want to skip.
Then you want to add the best part (in my opinion) the stuffing! On top of the chicken.
You are going to create a sauce, if you will by mixing the sour cream, condensed soup and water together. This is what will keep everything super moist. You want to spread that all over the top of the stuffing.
Last but not least, you are going to add the frozen green beans right on top. Cover your crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
I cooked mine on high for 4 hours, and it came out perfect!
All thats missing really is the cranberry sauce! Which would be an excellent side! Or even mashed potatoes. The options are endless!
