These chocolate chip sugar cookies are a nice twist on the traditional sugar cookies. Each bite is the classic sugar cookie taste and texture, except there are chocolate chips in every bite!
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy frosting sugar cookies and being creative with the different colors and shapes. But that can be a lot of work, and time consuming. These sugar cookies look adorable as is, with no frosting. The chocolate chips give them a nice look, I think.
These are friendly for any season. It’s Christmas time now, so I made mine into Christmas shapes. But these could be perfect for any holiday, gathering or season!
I was nervous when baking these cookies. I thought the chocolate chips might have melted and made the cookies look sloppy. But they held up well!
They didn’t spread at all, which was great! And, there was no chilling the dough. This recipe is my go to recipe for any sugar cookie base.
Of course, just like any recipe I had to try a cookie to make sure they tasted good enough to post. Four cookies later, I knew they were perfect and absolutely delicious enough to post!
My husband tried one, which turned into three. So its safe to say there will be some cookies missing when we serve these delicious morsels!
