Ingredients
Method
- Pour warm milk in bowl of a stand mixer and sprinkle yeast on top. If you dont have a stand mixer, use a large bowl.
- Add butter, eggs, salt and sugar.
- Add in 4 cups of flour and mix using the paddle attachement, or wooden spoon until ingredients are combined. Allow mixture to rest for 5 minutes so flour soaks up liquids.
- Scrape dough off of paddle and remove. Attach dough hook attachment.
- Beat dough on medium speed adding the rest of the flour (1/2 cup).
- Knead for 5-7 minutes. Or by hand if you dont have a dough hook attachment. You want the dough to be nice and smooth. Not too sticky.
- Spray a large bowl with cooking spray. Use spatula to remove dough from mixing bowl to large greased bowl.
- Cover bowl with a towel, and set bowl in warm place. I put mine in the microwave. Let rise for 30 minutes.
- In medium bowl, mix together butter, cinnamon and brown sugar until butter is smooth and spreadable.
- When dough is done rising, sprinkle counter top generously with flour.
- Place dough on floured surface and sprinkle top of dough with flour.
- Flour a rolling pin and roll out into a rectangular shape. About 24×25 inches. It doesn't have to be a perfect triangle.
- Used a rubber spatula or knife to spread and smooth out cinnamon filling over entire dough.
- Roll dough up tightly into a roll, starting on the long end.
- Cut into 12 slices and place in greased 9×13 baking dish.
- Cover pan and allow buns to rise 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until they start to turn a golden brown.
- You can add your favorite icing on top if you'd like! I didnt want mine to be too sweet. They were just as delicious without the frosting!
- Enjoy!
