The Best Damn Meatloaf

This meatloaf is the best damn meatloaf I have ever had! It melts in your mouth, and is so flavorful!

There are so many meatloaf recipes out there. Beef, turkey, pork, vegan…lots and lots of recipes. But which one is truly the best? Well, this one!! I don’t like to use cuss words when I’m writing my blog posts, but I had to use a cuss word for this recipe, because it really is the best damn meatloaf recipe!

I also have a recipe on my blog for a really good turkey meatloaf recipe. Check it out! https://thehungrylyoness.com/recipe/firecracker-turkey-meatloaf/

Turkey is a great meat to use for meatloaf. However, beef is more flavorful and comes out better consistency wise, in my opinion. It’s less dry than turkey tends to be. You always want to make sure to use a full fat meat, no matter what kind you’re using.

Of course, the ingredients you put into the meatloaf matter. You want to make sure to use ingredients that will make the meatloaf nice and moist.

You can get creative with glazes to top your meatloaf, but I like the good old ketchup glaze, with a little bit a brown sugar for extra sweetness.

This recipe calls for sautéed sweet onion. These onions make this meatloaf taste so much better. And don’t worry…for those of you who aren’t a fan of crunchy vegetables in your food…these onions are nice and soft, so you get an amazing flavor without the crunch!

It may not be the prettiest looking thing, but let me tell you…it tastes amazing. So who cares how it looks! And don’t get me wrong, I am all about presentation. But sometimes you can’t help it if the food itself just isn’t very nice looking, which meatloaf is not!

This meatloaf tastes just as good as left overs when reheated. It is bursting with so many flavors, and when it sits in those flavors, it gets even more flavorful!

Serve with your favorite side or vegetable, and enjoy!!!
