I mean, just look at it. How adorable is this pumpkin cheese ball? It was almost sad digging into it for the first bite. No one wanted to be the first to ruin it, so I did it. Once you taste how amazing it is…the sadness with subside ;).
For something to be so cute and awesome, it was so easy! Anyone, and I mean anyone can accomplish this recipe.
I love a good cheese ball. I know there are so many appetizer recipes out there for parties. But this is Halloween! Its fun to be creative with your food during the holidays. And when a recipe is fast, easy, and fun…sign me up!
When it comes to appetizers and finger foods, I love me some cheese. Anything cheese really. Whats better than a big ball of cheese??
This recipe only calls for a few ingredients that you would need to get at the store, if you don’t already happen to have them.
You will need an orange bell pepper (it doesn’t HAVE to be orange, but orange is better to go along with the pumpkin color), a package of rand dip mix, orange shredded cheddar, cream cheese, plastic wrap, and rubber bands.
Now, I don’t know about you, but we have a junk drawer filled with rubber bands and I am sure you do too!! Its time to put those suckers to some good use!
Once everything is mixed together, and you wrap your cheese ball up in plastic wrap, you want to place the rubber bands around your cheese ball over the plastic wrap to give it the indented lines and grooves that pumpkins have.
The last step is to add the pepper stem that you saved, and top it off for the pumpkin stem!
Serves with some crackers like wheat thins. I find those to be strong enough, and they don’t break when you scoop the cheese up.
Enjoy, and Happy Halloween!
