Whenever I have a girls night in, or a small group of friends over, I always want to serve some type of snack, or appetizer. A safe appetizer to serve is usually cheese and crackers. But it can get old after a while! These easy peach and goat cheese tarts are perfect!
They are quick and easy to make. The ingredients are simple, and easy to find, and cheap for the most part!
Goat cheese is whipped together with some olive oil to help spread it easier, and make it a little more creamy. I always get the log of goat cheese that’s vacuum sealed versus the pre crumbled goat cheese you get in the container. Its cheaper that way!
Good old Pillsbury dough. May not be the healthiest for you, but you can make some creative appetizers and recipes with their products!
For this recipe, I used the crescent dough sheet, which was perfect!
Using a pizza slicer, I cut the dough into 8 equal-ish sections to create personal sized tarts. You could even cut them into smaller squares to get more out of one sheet of dough!
After placing the cut dough squares onto a lined baking sheet, you then want to spread out the goat cheese evenly on each.
Ahhhh, yes…and those delicious, sweet and juicy peaches. Cant forget about those guys!
You want to make sure you slice them very thin when cutting them. If you cut them too thick, they will not get soft during the cooking process, and you will have thick, crunchy peaches, which wouldn’t pair well with your tarts!
When your tarts are done baking, the crust will get nice and golden brown, and your goat cheese will have this dry look, I guess you could say.
Drizzling your honey and sprinkling black pepper on top each one will be your last step to making these amazing tarts!
They are so cute, but most importantly delicious! These guys are guaranteed to be a big hit!
Enjoy!
