Grilled Turkey Zucchini Burgers

These grilled turkey zucchini burgers are juicy and delicious! Dressed with mayonnaise, honey mustard, crispy lettuce, juicy tomato, and dill pickles!

You might be wondering why these burgers are called “grilled turkey zucchini burgers”. Wheres the zucchini? Its in the burger!

Zucchini is filled with lots and lots of water/moisture. If you end up making this recipe, you will see that we actually squeeze a lot of the moisture out. But the zucchini has more moisture to offer during the cooking process.

The shredded zucchini helps make this burger so moist and juicy!

In fact, this burger was so soft and juicy…I was second guessing if it was cooked! It absolutely was. If you know me, you know I cook any meat dish well. Im always paranoid when it comes to undercooked meat!

Not that you would want to, but you could probably over cook these guys, and not even notice! We can thank the shredded zucchini for that moisture!

Like I mentioned, this burger is dressed with some tasty condiments!

We’ve got some mayonnaise, honey mustard, dill pickles, a tomato slice and crispy lettuce! It’s the right amount of toppings.

Its still a high and proud burger, but not to the point where you can barley fit it in your mouth. You may have to do the good old smush down before your first bite!

Grilled Turkey Zucchini Burgers

These grilled turkey zucchini burgers are juicy and delicious! Dressed with mayonnaise, honey mustard, crispy lettuce, juicy tomato, and dill pickles!

Ingredients
  

For Burgers

  • 1 medium zucchini, grated
  • 1 lb. 85% lean ground turkey
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • non stick spray for grill
  • 4 burger buns of choice

For Toppings

  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • lettuce of choice
  • mayonnaise
  • honey mustard
  • dill pickle chips

Instructions
 

  • Place shredded zucchini in a paper towel, and wring out excess liquid.
  • In a large bowl, mix together shredded zucchini, ground turkey, egg, garlic powder, cumin, and salt. Divid mixture into 4 equal portions. Form into patties.
  • Heat your grill to medium heat (350°). After cleaning grill grates, spray with non stick spray.
  • Place each pattie on grill and cook for about 7-10 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature of each patties center reaches 165°.
  • Place buns on grill to warm up (optional).
  • When burgers are done, put together burgers by spreading some mayonnaise on bottom bun, and honey mustard on top bun. Followed by a few pickles, the turkey patty, a tomato slice, and some lettuce.
  • Place top of bun on top, and enjoy! Serve with side of choice!
