“Everything” Bread

This recipe for “everything” bread is so easy to make, and tasty! Seasoned with “everything bagel” seasoning. Crunchy crust on the outside, and soft on the inside. Just how bread should be!

If you’re a fan of “everything” bagels, you will fall in love with this recipe! I actually like this bread better than the bagels, to be honest. Its the texture!

Not all homemade breads are the same. Some are softer than others, or aren’t crusty on the outside. I love a crunchy crust, that stays crunchy!

I had to get a close up photo for you guys, just to show that amazing texture! Look at all of that “everything” seasoning.

What is “everything” seasoning?

Ok, so I’m sure most of my audience has heard of or has tried an “everything” bagel. They are those bagels that have a mixture of different seasonings, which include, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, minced dried garlic, minced dried onion and flaked sea salt.

You can find all of these seasonings already mixed together called “everything” seasoning! Thats what I used.

Fun fact: bread is my favorite food item to take photos of! I just love how each loaf comes out different, yet beautiful!

The crust is my favorite part to eat, and to photograph. Its crunchy, delicious and I love how it stretches out while baking!

If you make this recipe, I hope you enjoy it!

Equipment

  • 1 Dutch Oven

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • cup water (90°-100°) You want to make sure your water isn't too hot, or it can kill your yeast. I run a meat thermometer under water until it reaches the right temperature.
  • 4 teaspoons "everything" bagel seasoning + 2 teaspoons for topping

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, "everything" seasoning and yeast.
  • Add water and mix everything together until dough becomes a ball. Cover bowl tightly with plastic wrap and let rise at room temperature for at least 13 hours.
  • When it's time to bake bread, preheat oven to 450°. Put dutch oven in oven while it preheats.
  • Flour hands and lightly flour counter top. Remove dough from bowl, forming into a ball.
  • Wet hands with water and spritz top of dough ball so the seasoning sticks. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of "everything" seasoning on top of dough ball.
  • When oven is preheated, carefully take dutch oven out, place a piece of parchment paper in dutch oven and place dough ball on parchment paper. Cover dutch oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove dutch oven lid and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Let cool for a bit before cutting.
  • Enjoy!
