A good old American favorite, turned healthy! These healthy burger bowls are more than just healthy. They are tasty and satisfying! Each and every bite tasted like an actual hamburger. The bun wasn’t missed, thats for sure!

What do you usually get on your burgers when you order them out, or make them at home? Pickles? Onions? lettuce? tomatoes? a special sauce? Or maybe all? These burger bowls have it all!

The special sauce was my favorite. It was so simple to make, and so tasty. It was the perfect sauce to add on top for the dressing.

My husband loves his burgers. Bun and all. But when he tried these burger bowls, he was sold. Oh, and also…he was literally eating the left over sauce by the spoon. Its THAT good!

Ingredients
  

For The Burger Meat

  • 1 1/2 – 2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For The Salad

  • romaine lettuce
  • cherry tomatoes, halved
  • dill pickles, chips
  • sliced red onion

Special Sauce

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons pickle juice
  • 2 tablespoons dill relish
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Add the ground beef and spices. Brown the beef breaking it up as it cooks, until it is fully cooked through.
  • While the beef is cooking, make the special sauce. Add all of the ingredients to a small bowl and whisk together until well combined.
  • Drain beef of any liquid/fat.
  • Assemble your burger bowls. Start with romaine lettuce, then add the toppings and cooked ground beef. Drizzle with special sauce over everything.
  • Enjoy!
