Method
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Using the paddle attachment of mixer, or the back of a fork, cut the cubed butter into the flour mixture until it begins to crumble. Add cream cheese and continue to mix until crumbly.
- Stir in chocolate chips, and then add half and half. Stir to combine.
- Dump the dough out onto a floured surface (dough will be sticky and tacky).
- Flour your hands and pat dough out into an inch thick.
- Knead dough a few times, and pat our into an inch thick again.
- Using a biscuit cutter, circular cookie cutter, or a drinking glass, cut out biscuits.
- Place each biscuit on a large baking sheet.
- Brush tops of biscuits with melted butter, and bake in preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until tops are puffed and golden brown.
