Damn Good Granola

This damn good granola is…well, damn good! It’s so easy to make, and has only natural ingredients. Crunchy and sweet with a hearty flavor. Top it on yogurt, eat it as cereal, or as is!

I love granola! There are so many different types to buy at the grocery store. Some are all natural, some aren’t as all natural, or loaded with sugar and artificial flavors. Not to mention, they can be pretty pricey. Especially the all natural ones. This damn good granola is crunchy, delicious and easy to make!

Why purchase when you can make it yourself?!

Eating the same food for breakfast can get pretty old and boring. There are so many options for us, but we tend to always steer in the same direction, and eat the same thing. At least I do. Habit I guess?

Granola is such a versatile food, and you can eat it numerous ways, which is great! You can have it on top of your yogurt, smoothie bowl, açaí bowl, have it as cereal with some milk, or just as is for a snack to fill you up!

There’s a total of five ingredients in this granola. One of them being hemp seed hearts, which are so good for you with so many health benefits. They are technically a nut, with a mild nutty flavor. The best thing about hemp seed hearts is that they are protein rich!

I will warn you, things will get a little sticky when mixing everything together. But fear not. Once you keep mixing, the stickiness will go away and everything will start to come together.

When your granola mixture is all set, you then want to press it onto a lined baking sheet.

It doesn’t have to be in a perfect square, circle or any shape really. Just dump in on the parchment paper, and start to press it down.

When it’s done, it will feel soft still. The key is to let it sit and cool down for 20 minutes to harden. I slide mine on a cooling rack to help the cooling process.

When its hardened, you want to crumble it up! This part was pretty fun. You can use your hands or a knife.

To store this granola, add to an air tight container so it stays nice and crunchy!

Enjoy!
