When you want something easy to make for dinner, but also tasty, delicious and nutritious…most people turn to chicken. Its healthy, cooks fast, and can be pretty darn tasty if you cook it with the right seasonings and marinades.
Even if you don’t have the time to marinate, just the chicken cooking in the marinade will give it plenty of flavor. Basting throughout the cooking time helps with the flavor as well!
This marinade is one of my favorites. It’s so simple and easy, and has so many flavors.
I’m a true believer that there is no such thing as too much garlic. It just adds more and more flavor the more you use, in my opinion. You can use fresh minced garlic, or garlic powder for this recipe. I used garlic powder just because its a lot faster, and still gives out alot of flavor.
When you marinate your chicken thighs, you want to make sure that each and every piece is sharing the love, and soaking in the good stuff.
Cast iron skillet, if you have one, awesome…if you don’t, get one…and if you are like me and have had one sitting in your cabinets but never use it, start to use it!!!
Ive had mine for almost a year now, and I never used it. I think I used it once, if that. I guess I was intimidated by it maybe. I’d always seeing these amazing looking recipes using cat iron skillets, but for some reason I never used mine.
That doesn’t matter though, because I broke it out again, and used it and I am so so happy I finally found the “courage” to use it!
I’m not sure if its just in my head, but the chicken tasted ten times better being cooked in a cast iron skillet.
Not to mention…it jazzes up your food photos!
