Method
- Preheat oven to 325°.
- Spray an 8×8 baking pan with non stick spray or line with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In bowl of a stand mixer, or hand held mixer, mix together the melted butter and granulated sugar.
- Add in eggs and buttermilk. Mix and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add to wet ingredients and mix until flour is incorporated.
- Stir in lemon juice, extract and lemon zest.
- Pour batter in baking pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
- Let cool completely.
- Make glaze by mixing confectioners sugar and lemon juice together.
- When brownies are completely cooled, pour glaze over and spread evenly. Sprinkle with lemon zest.
- Let the glaze harden before cutting into squares.
- I kept mine in an air tight container in fridge for a nice cool treat. But you can keep them out of fridge. If its hot out, I suggest you keep them in fridge so they don't get too sticky and messy.
