Loaded Sheet Pan Nachos

These loaded sheet pan nachos are the BEST homemade nachos I have ever made! They are so easy to make, and can be a meal in itself! Very little clean up. Just share right from the pan!

Ok…not to be biased, but these loaded sheet pan nachos are better than some of the nachos I’ve had at some restaurants! They are loaded with toppings, and have the perfect amount of cheese and queso on every chip!

So incredibly easy to make, not taking much time at all. Bake it all on one big sheet pan, throw it on the table and let your family/friends dig in!

There are a lot of nacho recipes out there.

Of course, I’ve tried a few, and a few of my own made up, and every time I made them, there was always something missing. Either a topping, or not enough cheese in between the chips, or not the right type of cheese to melt good, or have a good melty consistency.

You have your basic nacho recipe with the basic ingredients: cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and olives. But these nachos bring homemade nachos to a whole different level.

If beef isn’t your thing, you could always use ground turkey instead. Or shredded chicken! That will be my next protein of choice. Shredded bbq chicken. Yum!

If you make this recipe, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Course Appetizer
Servings 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup bbq sauce
  • 1 bag tortilla chips, restaurant style
  • 1 cup queso I used Newmans Own salsa con queso
  • 8 oz. bag shredded Mexican cheese blend I used Sargentos 4 cheese Mexican blend

Toppings

  • 2.25 oz. canned olives, drained and sliced
  • 1/3 cup jarred jalapeños, chopped up
  • 1 roma tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large sauté pan, cook ground beef. Drain when done.
  • Add bbq sauce to ground beef and mix around. Set aside.
  • Prepare your toppings by slicing and dicing your tomato, olives (if they need to be sliced), lettuce, jalapeños and red onion. Set aside.
  • Place half of the bag of chips on lined baking sheet, spread out in even layer.
  • Use half of the cooked beef and spoon it around on top of your chips evenly. Followed by half of your queso and half of your shredded cheese.
  • Add the rest of your chips on top of bottom layer, and add the rest of the beef, followed by the rest of your queso and shredded cheese. Making sure to spread everything out evenly so each chip gets some!
  • Bake in preheated oven until cheese has melted, about 6-7 minutes.
  • When done, immediately add your toppings evenly on top!
  • For the sour cream, I spooned it into a ziplock bag and cut the tip off to drizzle it on easier.
  • Enjoy!
