Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Prepare your maple glaze. Mix together maple syrup, onion powder and garlic powder. Set aside.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter completely.
Add minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Add chopped almonds, panko crumbs, salt and sugar. stir until well combined. Cook for 5-10 minutes until almond mixture is a nice golden brown. Set aside in a large enough bowl.
Set up your dipping station for chicken. Flour, egg, almond mixture. Make sure to have a baking sheet prepared with non stick spray or parchment paper.
Dip your chicken in the egg, then flour, then almond mixture. place on baking sheet and repeat with each piece of chicken.
Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. It depends on how thick your chicken is. Mine were pretty thin and took 25 minutes to bake.
When there is approximately 5 minutes left of cooking time you want to spoon your maple glaze on top of each chicken breast. Cook for the remaining time.
Enjoy!!!
