Green Bean Bake
Green bean bake is a 1950's inspired dish, which, these days we call green bean casserole. Loaded with tender green beans, creamy Campbell mushroom soup and pieces of fried onions!
Prep Time 10 minutes mins
Cook Time 25 minutes mins
Total Time 35 minutes mins
- 1 Can of condensed cream of mushroom soup I used Campbells
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Dash of black pepper
- 4 Cups Canned cut green beans, drained and rinsed (2) 14.5 oz. cans
- 1⅓ Cups French fried onions, divided
Preheat oven to 350°.
In a 1½ quart casserole dish ( I had to use a pie dish because I don't have that size casserole dish) stir together soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper and 2/3 cups of fried onions.
Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
Sprinkle remaining onions on top.
I put my casserole back in oven for a minute or two and put broiler on low heat to give the onions a nice golden brown color and crunch. This is totally optional.
Enjoy!
