Method
For Burgers
- In a large bowl, add ground beef, scallions, ground gingers, soy sauce and sriracha. Mix until everything is combined.
- Form into 4 equal patties. Set aside on plate.
For Teriyaki Sauce
- In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and cold water. Mix until starch is dissolved. Set aside.
- In a small saucepan, mix together soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, ground ginger and garlic powder. Over medium-low heat, bring to a boil. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
- Add cornstarch water mixture and simmer until thick. About 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cook Burgers
- Heat grill. When hot, clean grates and spray with oil.
- Place patties on the grill and cook on high heat for about 5-7 minutes, per side, or until cooked to your liking.
- Grill pineapple slices for about 2-3 minutes per side.
- To serve, place lettuce leaf on bun, then add burger. Pour some teriyaki sauce on top of burger, top with pineapple.
