Hawaiian Teriyaki Burgers
These Hawaiian teriyaki burgers are juicy, sweet and savory! Homemade burgers using lean beef, grilled to perfection. Topped with a sweet teriyaki sauce and pineapple slice!

For The Burgers
- 1½ lbs. lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup scallions, chopped
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp sriracha
- fresh or canned pineapple slices
- buns of choice
- lettuce leaves
For Teriyaki Sauce
- 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
For Burgers
In a large bowl, add ground beef, scallions, ground gingers, soy sauce and sriracha. Mix until everything is combined.
Form into 4 equal patties. Set aside on plate.
For Teriyaki Sauce
In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and cold water. Mix until starch is dissolved. Set aside.
In a small saucepan, mix together soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, ground ginger and garlic powder. Over medium-low heat, bring to a boil. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
Add cornstarch water mixture and simmer until thick. About 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cook Burgers
Heat grill. When hot, clean grates and spray with oil.
Place patties on the grill and cook on high heat for about 5-7 minutes, per side, or until cooked to your liking.
Grill pineapple slices for about 2-3 minutes per side.
To serve, place lettuce leaf on bun, then add burger. Pour some teriyaki sauce on top of burger, top with pineapple.
