The Best Slow Cooker Chili

This is the best slow cooker recipe. The only chili recipe you will ever need!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. Ground Turkey or Ground Beef, lean
  • 1 Large Yellow Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 14 oz. Can of Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies, drained
  • 3 8 oz. Cans of Tomato Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tsp Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • Salt + Pepper, to taste
  • 1 15 oz. Can of Dark Red Kidney Beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 15 oz. Can of Pinto Beans, rinsed and drained
  • Sour Cream (optional) for topping
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese (optional) for topping
  • Green Onions (optional) for topping

Equipment

  • Crockpot

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil oven medium-high heat. Add onion and cook for 3 minutes.
  2. Add garlic to pan, cook for another 30 seconds.
  3. Place cooked onion and garlic in crockpot.
  4. Using same saute pan, add turkey or beef and cook over medium-high heat until cooked.
  5. Place cooked meat in crockpot, along with every other ingredient thats left to add. Mix everything together. Cover and cook on low heat for 5-6 hours.
  6. Serve with a dollop of sour cream, shredded cheese and green chilis.
  7. Enjoy!
